Rakey Says what is on his mind about what is happening at the cricket club! When the Chairman speaks on cricket it is time to listen or buy him a drink and change the subject!!!

I think we can look back on the 2005 season with a fair degree of pride in terms of the playing side and off-field activities (nets, extension etc.) To finish second in the league and reach a major evening final with a side in transition was a notable achievement. It was great to see Matthew Bunyan and Scuttler fulfilling their potential as batsman. Socially, it was great to see so many new faces on Friday evening youth practice and so many old friends from Australia for the Manly game. Next year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the club re-forming and we will endeavour to make it an even better year than this year with a series of events to mark this special occasion.

Answers to the crossword from Dippers Despatch Issue 2.

July 31st 2005 saw the Official Opening of the pavilion extension and alterations and also the new nets & artificial pitches (which are due to be installed during the previous week).

The below wording will be on a plaque to be fixed to the front of the pavilion.  The words really express my personal feelings regarding our good fortune in being awarded so much financial aid for the two projects of which we can be justly proud.

The extension and alterations to this pavilion and the three nets and artificial pitches were opened on Sunday July 31st July 2005 by: The Worshipful Mayor of the Borough of Tewkesbury, Cllr Paul Ockleton.

The Club will be eternally grateful for the kind and considerable financial awards from the following Charities, Foundations and Councils (in alphabetical order):
